I recently had dinner with a friend from Cleveland (a serious pizza town), and he said it was among the best he’s ever had. He especially raved about the Italian sausage. We split a pie and a house salad and dined in. The restaurant has a classic pizza house vibe, plus a carryout window offering pizza by the slice. Prices are reasonable for the quality. But their cheese has to be the worst tasting cheese I’v... read more Look, idk who in their right mind rates this place so high, and they’ve clearly never had real NY pizza. But their cheese has to be the worst tasting cheese I’ve ever had on a pizza. It tastes like chemicals. You can tell it’s skim milk cheese that arrives pre-shredded in a bag full of anti-caking agents. Tastes awful and has a lingering tang. You can also tell by the way it melts. The only redeeming quality is the crust. If you can tolerate eating through the horrid slice up to the crust, the crust is actually decent. I’d give it a 5.5 out of 10.
