The seafood platter was very tasty. Only had one shrimp and one scallop. A bit disappointing.Stuffed pork chop was way overdone, pasta overdone, but the brussel sprouted were done to perfection.Drinks and bar service top notch..
The food here is top tier. It's a scratch kitchen, so everything is so fresh and good. Highly highly recommend the brunch here, I've had the variations of the Bennedict here for 3 years now, just love it. It's a bi-weekly stop for my wife and I and we always enjoy it. Really appreciate the manager coming to our table each time to check how our experience was that day. You won't regret coming here!
We are new to the area and Bistro 603 came highly recommended so we dropped in for lunch. My wife ordered the sheet pan nachos which she liked and the reason for two stars. I ordered a Maine Lunch beer and the house smoked thick cut pastrami. The beer was good and I asked for another when my meal came. When the meal came I asked for my second beer, the keg was empty and they would tap another. Ten minutes later I was told they were out..Back to my house smoked thick cut pastrami. Presentation was great , toasted marble bread, lettuce, tomato and coleslaw with four skinny pieces of pastrami. The pastrami was ineatable, it was so hard and dry and was all end pieces. I asked my server if this was normal...she came back after checking with the manager and said yes that was normal but if I wanted I could order something else. I was surprised the manager did not come by but sent the server back with the message. My wife was almost done so I removed the pastrami and ate the rest which was good. At the end of our meal the manager did come over and apologized I showed her the pastrami I couldn't bite through or eat. I asked how this could leave the kitchen, she apologized again and comped my sandwich. As I paid the bill the server said she was sorry and they had complaints about the pastrami and are removing it from the menu. Guess I was a day to early. Bistro 603 came highly recommend so I will give it one more try, let you know how it goes.
The food was OK, not great. I Was served burnt potatoes with my salmon which was supposed to be stuffed with crab but I didn?t see anything significant inside, just some particles of crab. We were a good number of us celebrating my dad?s birthday in NH.We ordered a bunch of other meals that turned out fine. The server was nice and friendly and we planned a generous tip but whenwe were notified that they added a tip to our bill, we decided not to tip anymore. I usually prefer to tip freely and not becharged a compulsory tip.
Way better than expected. Every item we ordered was top notch. My shrimp and grits was the best I've had in New England. I thought the portion was a wee bit smallish (come on guys, what's the food cost on grits? load me up! , but the delicious crabcakes appetizer more than made up for it. Highly recommended!
