Every single one of the 18 people in our group was extremely satisfied... how often does that happen?!!!!!

We were a party of five and were able to make last minute reservations for dinner before attending a show at the Rou... read more Wonderful experience last night for dinner. We were a party of five and were able to make last minute reservations for dinner before attending a show at the Round Barn Theater. We were told that they could accommodate us at 7:00 as they had an earlier party of 40 at 6:30. Knowing that the restaurant was only a couple minutes from the theater we decided to take a chance and committed to the reservation. We arrived at around 6:45 and slowly made our way up the driveway to the restaurant as to not be too early and interupt the large party ahead of us. As we walked through the front door we were greeted immediately by one of the owners and escorted to our private dining room that was already set up for the five of us with salads and fresh baked bread. The owners clearly remembered that we were headed to the theater and that the show started at 8:00 and took extreme measures to insure we enjoyed our dinner in time to make the show. We had several people taking care of us from the husband and wife team (owners) and their daughters, the service was impeccable. Meals were promptly brought to us along with more fresh baked bread and water refills. The salads were great, the rolls were to die for, so light and fluffy with a burst of steam when pulled apart.... mm mm mm..... we had fried chicken, Swiss steak, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy along with Amish noodles. Finished it off with a slice of home baked pie of which there were several varieties to choose from. Before we finished our plates bowls of seconds were brought to our table as the meal was family style all you can eat. We definitely didn 't go hungry. For the record we were so taken care of that we even made it to theater with 5 minutes to spare.... actually 14 minutes to spare as the show didn 't start on time anyway. We are season ticket holders at The Round Barn Theater and have been foe many many years and we are so grateful to have found this hidden gem for dining before a show.
