Osteria Capri - Naples
Osteria Capri
Description
Nestled in a picturesque locale, this restaurant presents a mixed bag of culinary experiences. While some dishes, such as lobster ravioli and sea bass, received praise for their excellence, others, like the spaghetti scampi, fell short of expectations with bland flavors. The prices, however, are notably high, raising questions about the overall value. Service quality varies, with some guests highlighting attentive staff while others encountered inattentiveness and miscommunication. The lively atmosphere can be enjoyable, but noise levels may detract from the dining experience. Overall, this restaurant offers potential, but consistency in food and service remains a challenge.

Food was wonderful. Waitstaff was rushed. I got the wrong dish waitress insisted it was my fault tough luck. I think she was too busy to pay attention to what I was ordering. When at an expensive, fine dining restaurant, I expect my waiter to explain dishes not make me feel rushed. Instead it felt like a diner. But the dish I did get was good, except that I'm not really fond of calamari. Would have been much happier with the dish I really ordered.
Disappointed that my table of 10 was not indoors being I made my reservation months in advance and called to confirm. The food made me forget quickly! Chicken parmigiana was a hit by my grandsons who broke their mother's heart by saying it was the best they ever had. The seafood dishes were fresh and light. Can't wait for them to open on Marco.
My son ordered steak filet, sent it back because it was rare.. next time it was gray and rubbery. Told waiter we couldn't eat it, owner came over and told he would not take off menu. After complaining he finally did. This is the 2nd time we had an issue but gave them one more try. Will never go back and cannot believe they gave enough followers to open a 2nd location in Marco . O stars would give if possible ?
Incredible upscale, homemade Italian cuisine. Maybe the best I've had in Collier, and definitely in the Marco area. Excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommend for foodies or a special occasion.
The dishes were excellently prepared. The Capresi and artichoke hearts were very good. The yellowtail snapper and lobster ravioli special were outstanding, and the tagliatelle with sausage was also quite enjoyable. The Cacio e Pepe was decent but lacked flavor, tasting more like a heavy Alfredo sauce.
