Avenue 5
3.9 / 5 (58 reviews)

Description

Avenue 5 impresses with striking décor, attentive service and a lively bar; standout dishes include yellowfin tuna and lobster sliders, and cocktails and desserts receive high praise. Occasional inconsistency in seafood (notably salmon) and difficulty securing private-event bookings—unreturned calls and emails—temper an otherwise excellent experience. Ideal for date nights, special occasions and cocktail-focused evenings, the restaurant remains a compelling choice despite challenges arranging private parties.

What a fantastic restaurant with incredible food, beautiful décor, and top-notch service! We enjoyed dinner and drinks at the bar, and Greg was our server. He was very attentive and provided great help with the menu choices. His recommendations were spot on, and we had a wonderful time. I started with the Moscow Mule, and it was likely the best I've ever had, served in a large copper mug that made it just perfect! For appetizers, we ordered the lobster slider, which was delicious, nestled between fried green tomatoes that exceeded our expectations. I opted for the ahi #1 sashimi, and it was simply divine; the tuna was so fresh it practically melted in my mouth! Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals, and by the end, every plate was empty. During our visit to Naples, this was undoubtedly the best dining experience we had. I highly recommend giving it a try! The location is great, close to other bars and shops, allowing you to spend your entire evening on 5th Street.

The salmon had a sweet glaze and was served on just the right amount of mashed potatoes, so it was perfectly balanced. We were assured that the cappuccino was decaf, but there were doubts all around. I ended up howling at the full moon long after I returned home, pacing like someone who didn’t expect to sleep for three days. It's a common risk when ordering decaf at night, so I can’t really blame anyone but myself.

The lunch menu offers a diverse selection, primarily consisting of soups, burgers, platters, and sandwiches. My friend and I stumbled upon this restaurant while walking along 5th Avenue and decided to stop in as we were quite hungry, despite not having checked Yelp beforehand. Fortunately, the positive reviews we had heard turned out to be accurate. My friend opted for a burger paired with their famous Florida salad, while I chose the tortilla salad. I appreciated the variety of ingredients in my salad—romaine lettuce, spice-rubbed chicken breast, tortilla strips, avocado, black beans, salsa fresca, poblano peppers, pepper jack cheese, and chipotle ranch dressing—each contributing to a robust flavor. The portion size was generous, making it surprisingly filling for a salad. My friend was equally pleased with his meal. Although I suspect the atmosphere changes in the evening, during the day, it feels relaxed yet attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would definitely come back!

Where do I start?! Is it the amazing happy hour? The amazing staff? Vlad the bartender? So we pop in here for happy hour. The menu is huge! I order a beer and hubby gets a bourbon to find out I should have had Vlad's signature martini! .... So I did later on. It's amazing. I got the ceviche and it was huge. Full of succulent seafood done just right in a citrus medley of deliciousness. Hubby got the burger and Lordy is it a burger! $9! Their happy hour is one of the best I've had in a long time. Totally the best part of the establishment. Huge bar on top of that with such generous pours. The artisan cheese plate is a must if having a glass of wine. Their whole happy hour menu is full of delicious mouth watering items. Can't wait to come back again and again when I'm here next time.

Amazingly, we've been lucky enough to spend NYE here the last two years and have always had a good time but we never actually ate here. This time, we ventured out for Valentine's day brunch with no reservation! What an adventure. We were sat immediately on the patio (as we requested. The hostess came over and told us they were a bit behind in the kitchen, but our food came out in a timely manner anyway. I had the chicken caesar and it was great, and my boyfriend had the omelette which was also great. We built our own **** mary's and had some unlimited mimosas as well! Our server was slow but it's expected on valentines day. We had a great time and will be back soon!
