Great ambience, good food, cool place for date night, couple night or even family night. I wanted to try this place before a few visits so this time I was determined to let it happen. The food is delish and offers a variety of different cuisine. They have everything from pasta, burgers, steak, seafood... it's endless and everyone is sure to find something they like. Our group had a few cocktails that were good, but w... View all feedback.
What Muriel Clerc doesn't like about Carpe Diem Restaurant Bar:
Follow the recommendations of yelp. The Charcuterie Board was pretty ok-ish, but in my opinion too little cheese for 36 USD. The wines on the tap (through the glass) were a little disappointing, the good ones were served only by the bottle. The Espresso Martini was good. However, the service could be better. Beautiful corner restaurant with a small feeling and amazing dishes. They have outdoor seating and can accommodate more people. We had a Cesar salad and Octopus salad (highly recommended), a NY Strip plus and the short Ribs with Mushroom Risotto. Everything smell fantastic and tasty! The NY Strip came with a Broccoli pure dip that was so delicious; even for those who put nothing else on their meat, it had to be done because of its taste. The short bands did not need coaxing to fall apart and well paired with the risotto. It had a good bit of salt, but that's what the Risotto supports. We were too filled to have a dessert! The mixed drinks (only 1) are unique and they are very happy with their casting. Very recommended to go and try something new.
The food was very great and impressive. The ambience was beautiful. Service was sometimes a bit strange, but overall good. Drinks were also great.
Nice classic. The owner was very friendly and even gave me background on the building. The meal was fantastic. I had to start the Sweet Chili Calamari and the bread was nice and flaky, Calamari was tender. After I had the French lamb frame. It was boiled to a perfect medium per my opinion (which is debatable). And paired with a local Pinot Noir, Crisp home fries and French green beans. The food and the atmosphere were soothing. I had an outside table and got good photos. DEFINITELY recommend!
We sat at the bar and I had the most delicious gin cocktail with charred rosemary, watermelon, mint and lime! I also had the Caesar salad and mushroom and cheese flatbread. My friend had the beet salad and the rice balls appetizer. Our bartender was excellent and the owner was very friendly and accommodating!
