Yoshi Sushi - Nanaimo

Coming from Vancouver, I didn't think I would find a good sushi place though all the reviews were pretty good!We have a party of 5 and our bill was about $100. We ate a lot and the sashimi were super fresh....we especially love their soft shell crabs and the scallop roles. Staff were super friendly and informative of the wait time etc. I would definitely recommend this place to all visitors to Nanaimo! Make reservation if you don't want to wait, it's always hopping!

Best sushi I have had in a long time! Friendly and fast service despite how busy it is. A must try! I noticed they do take out as well. If I lived in Nanaimo I would order everyday!

Food is good here with lots of variety. I thought it was a little on the pricey side compared to other sushi restaurants in town. It's usually busy and you cannot make a reservation the same day you want to go so plan ahead or be prepare to wait.

Decided to try this place out from all of the good reviews on trip advisor but was totally disappointed. The place opens at 4:30 and we made a reservation for 4:30, at the time of reservations we were told we had to get out by 6 due to the next set of reservations. We got to the restaurant right at 4:30 and ordered before 4:45pm, however we did not get our food until 5:30. The quality of the food was decent but nothing exceptionally good, definitely have had better sushi in Vancouver. If you go make sure you have nothing to do that night to wait and after all the waiting be prepared to be eating in a rush!

By far the best Japanese restaurant in Nanaimo....The food is awesome the sushi mouthwatering the Bento box excellent!!!! Service cannot be compared to any other establishment it is number one????
