The... read more Just disappointing all around. Both the Bomb Ball (6pc) and the Deep Fried Cali were too sweet with an odd crunch that didnt seem to come from the tempura. The Bomb Ball (6pc) Avacado was pretty mushy and had an odd texture. The Chicken Spicy Ramen’s Broth was okay, but the chicken was fried and breaded so it got soggy as soon as the broth was on it and the Ramen noodle quality was quite low. The Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl was fine, nothing fancy the chicken shined in this dish, but could have used more veg. Overall, this was a very disappointing meal especially for the price.

Not only is this the ONLY (literally, there isn 't anywhere else) in Nanaimo to get teokboki, it was also excellent! The pork bone soup wasphenomenal, hearty broth, HUGE portions, uncompromising flavour... Service was excellent, atmosphere was comfortable andrelaxed. Soju and beer. Chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned. My only complaint is that I didn 't give them a chanceearlier... They are even open LATE! 11PM! Nanaimo doesn 't have many late night options, especially on the north end, so the factI put them off for so long is criminal. I am ashamed, but, I am also very full and completely satisfied... Guess I win :D

Roll&C... read more I can't believe this gem of a place has been right under my nose for the past couple of years! Today, I went there on a whim, and I was not dissapponted. Roll&Chicken offers the best of Japanese and Korean cuisine, often blending the two when makingtheir delicious fusion offerings. I tried the Roll&Chicken roll and the Poke Bowl, and I was extremely pleased with both. Therestaurant has a large parking lot and it's tucked away just off Norwell Drive. The only reason I gave four stars rather thanfive is that the restaurant's delivery radius on the food ordering apps is very small, so I always have to drive to drive out toget their delicious food. Either way, I highly recommend Roll&Chicken for lunch, dinner, or just a snack.
