I was introduced to Vietnamese Subs by my brother when I moved to Vancouver. Eaten many in East Van from several places so I have a good frame of reference for this review. What Devon B doesn't like about Pho TinTin Restaurant:
Tastes ok but the bitter taste of poor value lingers. I would of paid $4 or $5 less for my large hot and sour tofu soup up the street at Phovta (family emergency had them closed) $20 for a soup is insane, avoid this place. Came with no cutlery and no rice noodles just bean sprouts. (full side of rice noodles at Phovta) This is my second and last time going to this restaurant. No wonder it was empty. Ps....you can 't... Went there 2 times, love that they have a good selection of vegetarian options. 1st time service was ok (server mixed up our order and still charged at the end) but second time it was amazing (i think the owner was the server that day). The chef brought out food out and with the biggest smile. very friendly and super genuine people! thanks we will be be many times!
I've tried this place three times to give it a fair chance and each time, I've been disappointed and won't be returning. I've ordered the same vermicelli dish each time and each time it came out different. The lack of service is also another factor. I waited 20 minutes for the server to stop talking to her co worker to come over and take my order, it was only after I got up and put my jacket on when she rushed over, it's like you are an after thought to what they're doing. I won't be returning to this place...good luck to them.
Ordered in Veg Pho and Veg salad rolls - excellent customer service ( I called at 7:35 they closed at 8pm) .. they had it all ready , great customer service .. food was good for the price and I have had their bubble tea before 4$ so good price ! Will go back for sure
Yum, they had a great choice of Authentic foods. It is a diamond in the rough for sure.. Would recommend this pace...
We started by once ordering salad roles (take-out) here and they were "raved" by a large party of guests which we had attend our home. The sit-down experience is even better because there's less lag between kitchen and table. Tucked into a corner of a very small shopping plaza, Pho Tintin is a gem for genuine Vietnamese food. The value is outstanding.
