Today, I went to try this restaurant for the first time. I went in for lunch, and grabbed Take-out. Half the toppings on the sushi were not mentioned, and it smelt awful, and seems to have gone bad. I have been ordering delivery from Nemo since moving to Nanaimo in 2021 upon commencing my studies at VIU. Their food and service is unparalleled, there is no other place like them!!! From the fresh fish, perfectly seasoned rice, and delicious appetizers, you cannot go wrong. Absolutely amongst the best sushi I’ve had, and I have eaten at countless restaurants (sushi compromises most of my diet>: Definitely amongst the best on the island. Something that they did, I’m not sure if they do anymore, is personalized sticky notes thanking the customer for their order. It was a lovely touch and helped me see the brighter side of life when I was struggling. Food is top-notch quality and consistent. Awesome awesome food and great staff. Wish they would give a bit more detail in the description of the online menu. A lot of people don’t like sauce on their rolls and I wasn’t expecting it to come with any.
Had takeout from here for my fiancés birthday meal. It was great and came in 15-20 minutes. Well done Nemo!
It is one of the best places on the island. Great value for money. They use high-quality ingredients. It's a to go place, but they have casual seating inside. It's definitely our favorite in Nanaimo.
Yummy food, fresh sashimi, quick service. what more could you ask for? I like their sashimi bento box!
