This was the best breakfast I had in the 11 days we were on the island: $5.49 for 2 poached eggs, cooked perfectly, meat & toast. Excellent coffee was extra. Wonderful casual atmosphere. You order at the counter and the smiling lady brings you your meal. Would love to try their lunch when next in Nanaimo. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Haz Beans:
Went to sample the Irish Omelette and came away disgusted. The omelette was filled with what can only be described as a grey slush that was cold.It was without doubt the worse omelette I've ever had and was returned immediately.Haz beans or Has beens, I wouldn't recommend it at all. This cafe has very cool, comfortable vibes. The staff was friendly, the people in the cafe were very friendly, beautiful lighting and furniture. The coffee was good, our food was DELICIOUS!! I highly recommend their french fries. We really loved our experience at this cafe.
Best breakfast wrap I've tasted in years. For some the salsa might be a bit overwhelming and spicy first thing in the morning but I found it to nicely balance the other ingredients...tasty bacon, green and red pepper, a touch of onion (all nicely cooked but still crispy) and the different melted cheeses. My partner had hers without the salsa...and it was still very tasty. Priced at 7.99.
We stopped in here for lunch the other day and discovered some of the best fish & chips we have ever had. You have a choice of cod or halibut. We chose the halibut and it was wonderful. Instead of tartar sauce it is quite a garlicky dip. I would have preferred tartar sauce. However the fish and the chips were both wonderful. Definitely worth a try. Coffee is excellent too!
