Love eating sandwuches the size of my face with local ingredents. Cant go wrong with the bacon supreme! Darcy and his staff are always quick to answer questions and if you like your dinner premade and healthy just defrost over the day throw it in the oven for some awesome dinner View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Dish Nanaimo:
I was excited to try Dish as I see a lot of chatter about it on fb. It is a neat concept, to have pre-made healthy meals ready on the go and they carry quite a selection. I found it a bit pricey, but my husband and I were ok with that since they use fresh local ingredients. However we were both really disappointed with the food! Its one of those places that doesn't stand out on the streets, and you kind of have to know about the place by looking here on tripadvisor. We ordered the Mt. Benson sandwich which is grilled veggies with edamame hummus on Italian white bread. For dessert we got the Cayenne Brownies. The sandwich was fresh made to order, which I like. It was pretty good. The bread came from the local bakery down the road (Nanaimo Bakery on Bowen.) I loved the brownies, it had the right amount of kick to it. If you want coffee, you won't find it here. They serve cold drinks only. I was impressed that they had 4 different vegetarian/vegan soups and a decent selection for pescatarian/vegetarians. Funky decor.
It was late..we hadn't eaten lunch and needed to. We pulled in and the husband was reluctant to go in. Boy, am I glad we did! The menu was small but it was still hard to decide what to eat. We both had the Bacon Supreme (I think I have the name right..bacon..lots of it, avocado, tomato on fresh italian bread.) Amazing! Nice place to pull up a chair and scarf down our lunch. We end up on that end of town a lot and I am happy we will have a place to go to have a great lunch. Looking forward to our next trip up to Nanaimo.
While I have not tried the sandwiches yet, but obviously should, the take-home-to-eat meals are just terrific! They are all portion controlled, have nutritional information written right on the top, and to top it off are very tasty! If you lead a busy lifestyle and are trying to eat healthy this is the place to go! The owner and head cook are amazing people as well and have always given me the best service I could ask for!

Recently had there sandwiches for a group work lunch and they were amazing! They had so much flavor and we're anything but basic. Salad was delicious as well. We even ate them the next day and they still tasted great!
