I have ordered takeout from here several times over the past few years. It's one of the best and most affordable fish and chips places in Nanaimo. The burgers are great as well. The staff is very friendly, too! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cod Squad Fish Chips:
The fish did not taste fresh (tasted fishy). We both returned our meals and told the owners the meals were inedible. They didn’t know how to respond, but said we should just go. We offered to pay for the soapy tasting tea and gravy, but they just told us to go. No sooner had we stepped outside when the wife came storming out and told us to pay for the tea and gravy, which is what we did. We will not be returning. View all feedback.
The cod halibut were delicious. In 10 minutes the food was on our table. We would happily return when it seems time to enjoy a fish meal!Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, I used a wheelchair easily wheeled right in on my own, which isn't always possible.
Very good cod and chips. Lots of fish in each piece. The staff were friendly and service was quick.
Ordered 2 piece cod, one of the top restaurants I've eaten fish and chips at. It just tasted... Fresher! I got exactly what I expected, very fast service, and the AC was nice considering it was 30 degrees out! Great first time experience, I will be back for the upgrade to halibut or seafood appies next time!
Cod Squad, for years, has been our go to place for halibut chips. Crispy batter, moist delicious fish. Recently we ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it was equally amazing. So now we will have to visit Cod Squad more often ?
Best fish and chips going with home made Tatar sauce.
