Oh my goodness, tonight we went down just when the opened to get the freshest cinnamon buns we could get. They were so moist, sweet and they cream chesse oozed off. Alos there curried coconut rice is a go two, I always get it when we go down and it's always spot on, just enough spice and just enough sweet. View all feedback.

This is a takeout window catering to the late night bar crowd. We had heard that the cinnamon buns were good, but it took us a while to try one due to the odd hours (as of the time that this review was written, the business is open from 9 pm to 3 am Thursday, Friday and Saturday). We were disappointed in the below-average cinnamon buns and agreed that they were too salty. I'll be generous and give this review 3 stars... View all feedback.
I had the Nanaimo Bar cinnamon bun and holy was it dry!!! I would have enjoyed a pre-packaged, factory made cinnamon more than their cinnamon bun. The girls working were great, very friendly, but the food is a big let down. Pretty sure the only reason people enjoy the cinnamon buns is because they are drunk (they are open quite late). Don't waste your time.
I have had CJ's Mac N Cheese more times than I would care to admit! It's one of my favourite little treats in Nanaimo and the service is always wonderful and friendly.
My sister in law told us about this place. It is actually a coffee window that does take out only, but the locals know that they have great cinnamon buns. There are different flavors including Nanaimo bar, of course. Delicious! One of those places that does a couple things only but does an excellent job by having a narrow focus.
