What Jessie Chan dislikes about Block8:
I ordered via Grab Pabili since they declined to deliver due to no available in-house rider. Their FoodPanda listing also appears as closed until the next day. 2 Bulalo solo and it is VERY SALTY. We had to reduce the broth and add water for it to be consumable Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 View all feedback.
The staff seemed either untrained or unwilling to put in the necessary effort for the customers. I ordered sizzling sisig, but there was hardly any sizzle left when it arrived. Additionally, I dislike raw eggs. Normally, I would grab a spoon and stir them on a still-sizzling plate, but sadly, there was no sizzle at all, and more importantly, there was no spoon or fork. Even after I expressed my concerns and made it clear that I didn't like the dish soft, the staff took their time bringing the utensils. The worst part was when I tasted something that resembled a cockroach odor while eating the chicken. I couldn't continue and had to discard it. I don’t consider myself overly picky, but that was simply unacceptable. My mom even asked after we paid if there was a new cook, which the staff confirmed. It's no surprise that the small outlet along Antero Soriano Highway closed down. It seems the restaurant is losing customers, which wouldn’t be surprising given the current state. The cook appears to dislike his job, at least that’s how the food tastes now. For us, this was definitely our last visit. Overall, it was a tremendous disappointment and not worth it at all. What was once a beloved spot has fallen far short of expectations. Such a shame.
Block 8 Grill and Sizzling House has moved to Malainen Bago, and it still maintains its cozy charm. It’s the perfect destination for Filipino cuisine, serving lunch, dinner, and a buffet. Ratings: Food: 4, Service: 4, Atmosphere: 4.
