The banana ice cream cone and parfait were delicious. They serve a vegan hot dog, but the bun is not vegan. Highly recommend buying their frozen vegan meatballs to go.
What can I say? It’s food and it was vegan katsu curry was okay but not spectacular. Veggie balls were like steamed. Chips were stale as hell but ketchup and mustard flows free. Highlight was the ‘chicken’ nuggets from the bistro downstairs (buy your tickets from the vending machine).
I occasionally come to IKEA to pick up some of the plant balls and then go to the restaurant as well as the bistro. The flavor of the soft ice at the bistro changes frequently but that's okay I guess. Other things change, too, but I'm glad they have had the plant based lasagna on their menu for quite a while now. I like that one. I don't think it's the perfect food they sell at Ikea but considering what type of place it is, and considering that we still hardly get any decent food at other food courts in shopping malls here, I appreciate it. Also the plant balls I quite like, it depends a bit on how I cook them, but most of the time I enjoy them, definitely a nice change from tofu and other stuff available for vegans in Japan where there are not a lot of choices yet....so I appreciate them. Don't see any plant based dessert on their website anymore, there used to be chocolate mousse that I never actually found whenever I was there but always wanted to eat, too bad.
