Stay in the hotel with the family during a mini-work / pleasure visit. in the first night we ate in the hotel restaurant have eaten there years ago and it was always a good option when they stay in the hotel. with taking the steel base and the horse basket we ordered, everything else was terrible. I've never written such a sweaty review, but never had such a terrible food. we travel a lot my man is in the hospitality industry and have eaten everything from Michelin-Star to streetfood. if I had been served that eating in a Dennys, chili, (inert cheap chain restaurant,) I would have made a note to not order this dish again. but this is not cheap, but wildly overpriced for what it is we even ordered extra dishes to see if we could find something that tasted without luck. on the plus side the personal was good enough, not the sharp, but overall pleasant.
My husband, my daughter and I often eat. I could even say that we have become food of the okanagan. we do our best to try something new every month. we have eaten in oak cru once or twice, only for. or a fast snack. we decided to give it to dinner. wow! only wow! what a pleasant surprise! our server was anthony and he was nothing shy of spectacular! he was friendly, knowledgeable and his recommendations were perfect! we had a few cocktails, most of which were under the advice of anthony and all were delish! To dinner we had the crust hoolibut, the steak and the steel head. I honestly couldn't tell them what was best. they were all amazing! an absolute must is the skill-smores for dessert. I don't care how full they order it! when they read one of my reviews, they will know that I am a great advocate of good service. I think the chic of a restaurant is really in the hands of the server because they create the experience. anthony did this! We all returned to the car and shaved all the way to the house, how wonderful he was and how he did our night. our monthly tradition of eating will continue, but let me tell them anthony has set the bar so high, I am not sure that every restaurant has ever measured for the experience he has provided us. nice anthony! I hope their bosse realize what they are for one they are in their device! we hope to see them again!
What a pleasant surprise. the pandemic has undoubtedly caused chaos in the restaurant industry and after attempting to support them several times in the last months, and hit with bad menus and even poorer service, we began to feel that the dings were. never get good. the oak crue gives us hope. our visit last night was great. the paella and burger were both delicious, pinot noir super, and the waiter was super! sanjay was knowledgeable and very friendly. everyone we came into contact was great. they really traded as if they were happy to have us there! what a tasty bite. we will definitely come back.
Soouo much personal and so slow service. beautiful young lady who serves us but in the regular too many young staff, including manager fist-bumping and back -slapping instead of the 50% occupied space. eating was quite good, but nothing really unusual on the limited menu. Wine list... was limited to okanagan only. sighs
We flew into Kelowna and stayed here. While waiting for our room we went to have a beer in the lobby. They wouldn’t let my wife enter without a QR codedeapite her having a vaccination card clearly showing 2 vaccinations and a booster. Said it...was a requirement. Funny because we just flew on two airplanes to get to Kelowna and they accepted it as proof. Also every other place in Kelowna accepted the vaccine card. The place was empty and the host was rude. Don’t bother coming here the vibe is that they are doing you a favour by letting you spend money there.
