Amazing New Year’s Eve dinner! Food quality was 100% lobster with lemon risotto was to die for! Our server, Aimee, was excellent! I really recommend!
We went mid week in August for dinner to Oak and Cru after having gone there one night for desert in July. The desert plate was a hit with our crowd and we loved sitting on the patio. At the time our waiter seemed tired which I attributed to the heat of the day. Our dinner experience was overall average which was a disappointment. Our waiter was efficient but not personable, she was cursory. The food (halibut and chips, flatbreads and salads) needed more layering of flavours, we found it a bit bland and uninspired. The dining room seemed busy and the staff seemed hurried, the service slow, This restaurant could be awesome with more attention to detail.
We spent happy hour at Oak + Cru one evening as well as breakfast another day. The food and drinks were good... great cocktails and chicken wings and the view from the patio is pretty special. However, each experience we had a hard time knowing if we were to seat our selves/where we could sit, who our servers was, ordering drinks, slow service, mix ups on bills, and it seemed like there was a lack of caring. The staff seemed like great people but it got pretty painful and some members of our party opted to dine else where
