This is a classic Italian restaurant. In a time where casual food rules, the linen tablecloths formally dressed staff was lovely. But nothing compared to the food!! It truly is some of the best outside of Italy. View all feedback.
What Cheryl Beebe doesn't like about La Bussola Restaurant:
A traditional vibe, our server was wonderful. Lots to like on the food flavors. Only disappointment on the food was the caprese salad with tomatoes not at the best in a dish where they need to shine. View all feedback.
Just take note , if you change veggies to pasta, they charge you 5$ . Very expensive since my one plate of food cost37$. I can buy a box of pasta for one dollar for my family...... when a person buys one of the most...expensive meal give thé the pasta please!
Had a decent dining experience here. The location is great and the staff are friendly. The dinner was not bad but felt a little lacking for the price point. But overall I would come back.
While I can't say the food was bad, it was certainly not authentic. My veal piccata had a creamy tomato sauce rather than the butter, lemon, garlic, capers, and wine that every other veal piccata in Canada or Italy has. It tasted okay, but that's...it. The appetizer cioppino had a few fish ends and some clams and mussels. Again not bad, but could have used a better quality of fish. The broth was quite good though. The service was friendly. COVID spacing was good.
We had dinner here tonight and have to say the whole meal was horrible. I was expecting something at least edible. This food is so disappointing. Do not waste your money. The service was horrible, our waiter was in the middle Of taking our order...and left to pepper The food at the table next to us. Really that couldn’t have waited a minute? I know I will never be back.
Had been a long time since visiting this establishment. Was one of the best restaurants in Kelowna. Started with the CC for a reso hold which was odd. 40 minutes to get a drink order even though they were not slammed. Wine list is extensive...but expensive as posted by others. Food was decent, but expensive for what is delivered. Caprese salad for $26??? Tell me the tomatoes are grown from ancient Italian seeds or the burrata is flown in daily. Five slices of tomato some sprigs of basil and burrata. At least they are keeping food costs down and margins high to afford the location.
