BF Clyde's Cider Mill is a cute, family-owned and operated cider mill that only operates seasonally making it a highly anticipated place to visit each fall. They have cider, hard cider, wines, cider donuts, other baked goods, and other fun local products. Along with its amazing products, BF Clyde's is also the oldest steam-powered cider mill in operation in the USA making it a historic landmark. Cute spot with histor... View all feedback.
What Laura R doesn't like about B.f. Clyde's Cider Mill (seasonal):
This is a collection of small stores selling expected ciders, salad dressings, jams, syrups, white t shirts etc with the same things in each building. There are two places to sample ciders that you can try 4 samples... But the samples are mostly wines that tasted vinegary to me. I tried a strawberry apple wine and traditional cider but wasn't impressed with either and decided to call it done with samples. The actual... View all feedback.
They have the best cider. It is not too sweet and taste fresh. The cider donuts were fresh and delicious. We were here in October and they were extremely busy. The line does move fast if you’re going to the main building to get treats. The main building is not dog friendly, but the rest of the property is. There is a second smaller building behind the tastings that has the hard cider and some knickknacks. The downside is parking. The first time we were lucky and got a spot in their lot but the second time we had to park on the street, which is still limited and the residents don’t love it, and walk a good bit. I recommend going early to beat the lines and get good parking.
This is a long time favorite. I haven't been in a number of years due to moving away. We visited today in great anticipation and were not disappointed. Hot cider and cider donuts were delicious and the wine tasting was a nice addition. The kids enjoyed seeing the mill and picking out treats for the holidays, plus talking about memories of past visits.

The actual cider press building was closed and that would have been the focal point of the trip. I expected little sandwiches since people were sitting in chairs outside drinking, but there is only donuts and pastries. This was on a list of top things to do in town and I was disappointed that it was a reason we came here.
We love Clyde’s. The weekends are usually packed but if you go midweek the line is much shorter. Even when it is buddy they have a very efficient system. We really enjoy the small things they have added every year, including all the outdoor seating. The cider slushes are too die for and their cider donuts are unmatched.
