A member of the club had assured me that the club had acquired a great cook since the last time I visited (and left disappointed) many years ago so I decided to check it out. Went for dinner with a friend. I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel and my friend the Vienna Schnitzel (veal). I had looked up the menu and prices on the internet before so was informed of the prices or so I thought. The internet menu showed options that are not actually available to order and the prices were more expensive by $8 per item than advertised on the internet. They advertise their food as traditional but there was nothing traditional about both Schnitzels. All we tasted was old oil and the crumbing looked/tasted like it was done by a take away fast food place. The salad was boring and came with sachets of dressing. We were so disappointed and to charge $32 for such a poor quality dish is unacceptable. The very friendly waitress took our comments to the kitchen and we were offered a free cup of coffee. That 's good but I would have preferred a good meal. We definitely won 't go back there.
First time here with friends. It happened to be the May pole dance night so lots of guys and gals dressed up in traditional costumes and performing the Maypole dance. Lots of noise and fun to watch! The girls then did music with bells and I have to say that was really entertaining and looks quite complex but they did a great job and smiled as well. I had checked the menu online before going and they do need to update that as not only were the dishes wrong the prices were vastly different. However, most of us had the German potato dish which was very tasty. The couple supplying the music were a multi talented pair playing the guitar, accordion, bells, clarinet and the lady yodels as well! This is an experience and we may go back but as pensioners having an entry fee of $12 each then food and drink on top it's a tad expensive night for us. But a fun night we did have so the choice is yours!

New chef has improved on the old one considerably with more authentic food and a varied menu to suit. Old school venue but it is authentic!!
