Frosty Mango is a local icon open 7 days a week from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Established in 1989, this popular stopover on the Bruce Highway is bustling with visitors enjoying the sunny grounds and wandering through the display orchard to see what's in season. Inside, guests can escape the humidity and relax in air conditioned comfort with a cold beverage in hand. Satisfy your hunger with delicious pancakes, freshly made wraps and sandwiches, and a variety of ice cream flavors like macadamia, hazelnut, tiramisu, and fresh fruit sorbet. Don't forget to pick up a postcard and a jar of jam before hitting the road again.

This place has a neat story and was fun to visit during my time in Australia.
On the side of the road in the middle of nowhere, it piqued our interest during a drive from Cairns to TownsvilleLike an oasis in the desert.
This place is a North Queensland institution and we've been going there since the late 1980s, right through the pandemic, when it was clearly struggling as many businesses were. Unfortunately, on our most recent stop the prices and portion servings were a bit over the top. We wound up paying 18 dollars for a couple of lattes and a (very small, ungenerous) scoop of mango. We would have had a meal but it's got a very limited selection of foods, mostly sandwiches, and no salads and the price put us off. Bit of a shame, really.
Very disappointed you’re not open, brochure says you’re open every day 7 days a week. 8 to 18.00. Sunday 23 July 8.20. I’m afraid you lost big business. I had a list. I hope we can get some on our way back in around 3 weeks. Of course by that time I’d have eaten everything I had and would have needed more . Very Disappointed.
