My experience is a delight for the palate for both sweet and savory dishes. The Gagliano café uses organic and excellent quality raw materials. I cannot understand the malice of some reviews, certainly biased and unreliable, as evidenced by the numerous other positive reviews. Vegetarian options: The grilled vegetables and salads are excellent, as are the omelettes with artichokes and wild fennel. The minestrone with fresh vegetables is exceptional. A place with soul and history. a real pastry shop from the old days. The lovely owner Mauricio and his mother make sure that the sweets they serve always tempt with their taste and encourage you to come back. To visit Mussomeli with a guided tour and being so many, we booked and established the menu in advance at this bar. The location is not very welcoming but it is that of a bar, but we did not expect the same from the owner. The agreed menu consisted of an appetizer (3 olives, pickles, 1 slice of salami, 1 slice of omelette, some tomatoes and mozzarella, another 1 slice of bresaola) and a second course, a slice of roast chicken or pork with potatoes at the price of 15 euros plus €2 for water and drinks, then €17. It 's a shame that we discovered at the time that we couldn 't choose between pork and chicken because you had to settle for what was there and whoever asked to take the slice of beef since there wasn 't chicken would have to pay €10 more because they had prepared chicken or pork in the kitchen anyway and if we wanted we could even bring it ‍. Discussions also for those who had bought beer because it was not included in the €2 extra for drinks, coffees at the end of the meal were excluded and had to be paid for separately... in short, we are used to eating out and beyond the presentation of a very small shameful slice of chicken or pork breast and the discomfort of unpleasant discussions about 1 euro more or less, my advice to the owner is to reevaluate the relational approach and calculate how much an extra 1kg of chicken can impact on the economy of costs of a lunch for 20 people who, if they feel pampered , maybe buy you 5kg of pastries to take home..
