However, the inch of froth on top detracted from the overall experience. This seems to be a common mistake in coffee shops; a flat white should resemble the traditional coffee more than a cappuccino. I opted for a Chai latte, which failed to impress. It tasted more like a weak mint tea, topped with the typical powdered garnish. It was an odd blend and far from the flavorful Chai latte I usually enjoy. We both ordered mugs but received cups, leaving me unsure if the sizes are shrinking or if it was simply a mix-up. It wasn’t a major issue, so I chose not to raise it. My wife selected the Power Bowl and really enjoyed it, although she noted that there was very little broccolini in her dish, despite it being listed as a key ingredient. I encountered a similar situation with my Smashed Avo choice. The menu made it sound fantastic, boasting a variety of appealing components at a reasonable price. However, I was disappointed to find only two tiny slices of pickles, and while I had been informed that my feta was a substitute for the out-of-stock halloumi, it was still lacking. That said, the base of smashed avocado on toast with two poached eggs was generous and flavorful, and we both agreed that the eggs were the standout stars of our meals. As a side note, the hand-cut chips were excellent, and we appreciated the generous serving of aioli. On the service front, it left something to be desired. Our waitress was prompt and professional but lacked warmth and a personal touch; she didn’t smile and seemed to merely be 'going through the motions.' While she handled the service aspect well, the personable connection was missing. The other staff members we interacted with upon arrival and during our order were much more approachable and engaging. Overall, Wild Thyme provided a positive experience. The meals were of high quality, and despite the mentioned concerns, they were flavorful, well-portioned, and left us satisfied. The hot drinks had their issues, and a few more smiles would have improved the service. Would we return? Definitely.

Without a doubt, it's one of the best breakfasts I've ever had, and I have over 17 years of experience as a professional chef. I can't recall the name of the dish, but it included chorizo, spicy beans, slaw, Turkish bread, and perfectly poached eggs (see attached picture).

My boyfriend had a little accident where he cut his finger in the restaurant and the staff were SO nice. They gave us cake and a bandaid. :
