Anthony's Lounge - Murrieta
Anthony's Lounge
Description
Anthony's has garnered a reputation for its ambiance and service, appealing to both casual diners and those celebrating special occasions. While many rave about the attentive staff and inviting atmosphere, opinions on the food are more divided. Dishes like halibut and pasta have received mixed reviews, with some patrons noting a decline in flavor and quality. Though the setting is charming, particularly with live music on weekends, several guests advise caution when organizing private events due to potential price manipulation. Overall, Anthony's delivers a pleasant experience but may need to refocus on its culinary offerings.

Regardless of how busy they are, the service is always good and the staff is welcoming. Delicious food, our favorite is their halibut served with pesto pasta and veggies. Always accommodating and servers never try to upsell anything. House Cabernet is good as well as the martinis.
Again, my hubby and I enjoyed our dinner a lot. The Escargot and Shrimp Cocktail were so good as always. The Veal Osso Buco, First Cut was very good, with one bone with marrow. The Chilean Sea Bass was absolutely delicious! I had 2 Cocktails, which were oh so very good! Forbidden Fruit Moscow Mule cocktails! And for dessert, Tiramisu. Everything was very good which is why we keep coming back to dine here. But tonight, I was disappointed, as there was a big fly by where we sat, next to a glass window. I informed our server and he apologized and explained that they sometimes get inside the restaurant. I shooed it away a couple of times and still enjoyed our delicious dinner! I wish Anthony's would seriously keep a fly from getting inside as it can ruin a good dining experience.
Had another wonderful dining experience and date night with my wife. Our server was excellent and was the same server we had our last visit. Sadly forgot his name or I would gladly share. Glad we had a reservation because it was very busy Saturday evening, but the food and service were clearly excellent as always. We shared the Ribeye steak and also tried the Meatballs with garlic toast as our appetizer and boy did it not disappoint. Thank you Anthony's Team, we are definitely fans and will return again soon.
Wife and I finally tried it after hearing great reviews for years. We tried the Chilean Bass and the baked Halibut. The Bass was sloppy/snotty and had no flavor. The halibut was dry and had no flavor. The sauce was decent. The pasta side was mediocre. The vegetable medley was good. We called our recommenders and they, too, agreed the food hasn't been as good lately. They had a decent crowd and most were having steaks or pastas. Service was good.
