Food was okay. The red potatoes were undercooked and had no seasoning at all. I put salt and pepper and still they had no taste. But I'm willing to give there lunch menu a try the next time I'm in town.Parking: Parking is terrible View all feedback.
What Nathalie Lawrence doesn't like about Black Bear Diner:
Food was average, we waited for a long time to be seated (they said 10min we waited 20min, which isn't a problem by itself). Then we got seated and they took forever to take our order. Then we waited a good 30min before being served. The food wasn't great. The chicken patty are amazing though! The food is Delicious. I had the huckleberry lemonade with the slow cook pot roast. Tender beef and veggies. The gravy was great. The sweet potatoe fries are so yummy. The cornbread is good as well. My husband got the bbq ribs and he said is was delicious. The service was fast and friendly atmosphere.Food: 5/5
This restaurant has a cozy, rustic atmosphere that any family would love. Be sure to arrive hungry because the portion sizes are generous. The menu offers classic comfort food that warms your heart and soul. It's like getting a big hug from your meal, followed by a warm blanket of love. And don't worry, you can even take a nap afterwards. Overall, the food is top-notch, receiving a 5 out of 5.
The restaurant has a clean environment and clean bathrooms, with a great hostess named Alexy who is fantastic. The food was delicious, especially the mini volcano dessert for kids which comes with a free dessert. The huckleberry flavor is tasty. I enjoyed the Bob's Big Bear Burger and found it to be shareable. The turkey club was also excellent. The sweet potato fries were amazing. The ample parking, good food, and reasonable prices are all great aspects of this restaurant, but the standout feature is the A+ customer service.

Fun family restaurant. Very Americana. Log cabin feel with wood decor and photos and images of black bears. Loved the menu on a newspaper, but seemed a little wasteful. Service was great. Lots of people checking on you and refilling your coffee. I think at one point our server left because I asked for hot water, but was left waiting before having to ask someone else. Cute breakfast dinner.Vegetarian options: I am vegetarian and there are veggie omelettes, pancakes, and french toast. I was eating brunch and I found there was enough options for me.Kid-friendliness: The themed restaurant of a log cabin is fun for families. They have highchairs and kid menus.
