The rooms and washrooms are extremely small. There’s barely any space to keep your bags because the beds take up almost the entire room. The beds themselves weren’t comfortable either, as they were just two single beds. The overall setup looked very different from the photos shown on MMT. The bathroom and shower area were so tiny that it felt like a struggle to take a shower (I’m only 5'5 and 55 kg, so you can imagine how cramped it felt for an average-built person). There was no kettle or hair dryer provided in the room, and for hot water, you have to walk to the reception every time. The only positive was the staff—they were very helpful throughout the stay.
Fantastic choice in Murren. The view from the Balcony is breathtaking. Breakfast was the highlight, fresh bread and best muesli in yoghurt. Will definitely stay here again. Service from the owner was warm, friendly and welcoming.
We recently 5 days at Hotel Alpina. We absolutely loved it. The room size was comparable to places we stayed in in London and Paris. The views off the balcony were breathtakingly beautiful. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was one of our favorites as well. We’ll definitely return to this place.
Such a special place. Perfect location. Our mountain view room was AMAZING. So quiet. The restaurant food was delicious. Nice staff. We'll definitely come back!
Update! Came a second time and had the burger with Raclette chesse. It was delicious! Just ordered Apple Strudel and will post pics of both! Popped in for a quick bite to eat. Chose the Thai Green Curry which was very nice, and a small local beer, also good. Tasty meal, price 33chf (about £30) but though it's expensive for us Brits I think it's the going rate. The exchange rate makes everything cost more than we are used to back home. My table had a superb view over the deep rocky valley. Staff very polite.
