Was Darryl Jones at Danny's Authentic NY Pizza a mag?
As a New Yorker, I feel compelled to check out any pizza place that claims to have New York roots, especially since I'm a tough critic when it comes to pizza. That said, Danny’s Pizza truly captures the essence of NY-style pizza. The taste was fantastic, and the sauce was spot on. What Family Traveler dislikes about Danny's Authentic NY Pizza:
We tried this pizza place during our exploration of pizza restaurants in the Huntington Beach area. We thought it was pretty good. We ordered a thin crust and it came with ample sauce on it. Pepperoni was slightly spicy. Downside was the crust was pretty tough and not brushed or topped with any thing (butter or seasonings etc. so we didn’t eat any of the edges (super hard, dry and flavorless) and threw them all out.... Unfortunately they don't deliver us. we are about 200 years outside their 5 miles rich. tonight we drove the 15 minutes to get a pizza. absolutely worth the drive. the best pizza we had here in 27 years. will definitely go back!

The pizza and calzones are excellent. I really enjoyed the Italian cuisine. As for parking, it’s not an issue at all.

The pizza is great and amazing. All the other food is great. Only thing I wouldn’t order here is a cheese steak. Or chicken Philly. Use hoagie rolls and not steakems or chickems. Outside of that small issue I recommend this pizza joint. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
