The Deck - MURRAY HARBOUR
The Deck
Description
Tucked inside a resort, this small, homely spot is celebrated for cheerful service, excellent coffee and standout breakfasts like perfect Eggs Benedict. Staff are attentive, kid-friendly and helpful with local recommendations, and options include deck seating and delivery. Diners praise consistent, prompt service and a welcoming atmosphere, though entrees can vary—most notably a disappointing two-piece fish and chips that fell short of fresh local standards. Still, its warm hospitality and convenient location make it a go-to for resort guests and families.

Five of us had breakfast on the deck and it was fantastic! The Eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked, while the others enjoyed a full breakfast with plenty of extras. The coffee was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was cheerful. I’ll definitely be back!
We stopped by for lunch and had a great experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, and the food was delicious! They also provided us with some local recommendations to explore. We'll definitely be returning to stay in a cabin soon.
My wife and I dined out on July 8th. While she enjoyed her Messie Bessie Steak Sandwich, that's not the focus of this review. Unfortunately, my two-piece fish and chips were far from satisfactory. The fish had the flavor and texture of bland frozen squid commonly found in grocery stores (see photo), and if it was an in-house recipe, they did an impressive job of mimicking that lackluster taste. As a lover of fish and chips and an Icelander, I was really let down by the restaurant's missed opportunity to offer a fresh and delicious local fish option. This dish really should not be on the menu. The rest of my meal (fries, gravy, and coleslaw) was decent enough to prevent me from giving a one-star rating.
I had a lovely brunch at this charming restaurant with friendly staff. The apple turnover was absolutely delicious! Service: 5, Location: 4.
