I had dinner at Basta Pasteria, and the place was packed at 6 pm on a Saturday. Everything is freshly made, and the food was absolutely delicious. We tried a variety of pastas and added some chicken on the side, which was a great choice. The portions were generous, and we all took leftovers home. Definitely worth a visit! For four people, including appetizers, our bill was $100, but you could really taste the quality. While the seating isn’t fine dining, we were thoroughly impressed. It was our first time there, and we will be back. Service: Dine-in, Meal type: Dinner, Price per person: $20–30. Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5. Recommended dishes include Nonna's Meatballs, Caesar Salad, and Cacio E Pepe from their menu.
Basta Pasteria deserves a solid 5 stars, albeit with a few reservations. I believe it would be better suited as a sit-down restaurant rather than an order-at-the-counter format. Spending $50 for two dishes and dessert at the mall was a bit surprising, but the food was fantastic. They also provide complimentary bread and oil, which was a nice touch. I visited Basta Pasteria for the first time and appreciated that everything is handmade and fresh. The interior is smaller than I expected, so we couldn't get a table immediately because we had a larger group. We ordered the fettuccine alfredo, but I found the sauce to be bland and lacking flavor. I requested a side of marinara, which improved the dish when I mixed the two sauces. The margherita pizza, however, was enjoyable and much better than the pasta. We also tried the olive oil cake, which was decent. The prices are quite high, and the portion sizes are relatively small for what you pay. If I’m spending a lot on a meal, I want to leave satisfied, and unfortunately, I didn’t feel full. The pizza was the best value, being more affordable and more filling. I might consider giving this place another chance. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
