Sal's Brooklyn Pizza - Murphy
Sal's Brooklyn Pizza
Description
Despite using fresh ingredients and serving decent pizza, this Murphy eatery struggles with inconsistent portion sizes and pricing discrepancies that leave customers feeling shortchanged. Communication issues are common; calling ahead often results in long hold times and unhelpful staff who direct patrons back to the website rather than answering questions. Reports of a rude and volatile owner further dampen the experience, with both customers and employees reportedly impacted by his temperament. While some patrons appreciate the food and friendly interactions at the counter, many agree that customer service and transparency need significant improvement for this spot to thrive.

I called to place a takeout order and had a few questions that weren't addressed on their website or online menu. I was put on hold for five minutes, which I understand can happen when a place is busy. However, when I was finally connected again, I was asked to hold two more times. When I finally got to ask my questions, the person on the phone told me to check the website for the menu—which was exactly what I was trying to do. If they can't handle a simple pizza order or answer a couple of questions, I'm left wondering why they're in the pizza business at all. There are many other restaurants in Murphy that are more welcoming and accommodating. Here's a piece of local advice: just because you've been in the pizza business your whole life doesn't mean your approach is the best. If your staff is consistently rude to customers, I'm surprised you're still in business. Sincerely, a lifelong local.
Just had a pepperoni, sausage and onion pizza...it was great. I recommend Sal's to everyone...all fresh ingredients and I enjoyed our conversation while I was waiting for my order.
I called to place an order and had a few questions that weren't addressed on their website or online menu. After waiting on hold for about five minutes, I completely understand that places can get busy. But when I was finally reconnected, I was put on hold two more times. When I finally had a chance to ask my questions, the person on the phone told me to check their website and menu—something I had already done. If they don't have time to take a simple pizza order or answer a couple of basic questions from their customers, there are plenty of other, nicer places in Murphy. Here’s a piece of local advice: just because they've been in the pizza business for a long time doesn’t mean their way is the only way. If their staff is consistently that rude to customers, I’m surprised they’re still in business.
