Everybody who works at Southern Dine is so kind. I've been for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and it's all good. I love the breakfast, they have the absolute best biscuits and gravy and I would eat it every day. It gets busy in the morning, so be sure you give yourself plenty of time to get there before breakfast ends. You don't want to miss it! Vegetarian options: Veggie burger and fried okra are great View all feedback.
What Alicia Dorado doesn't like about Southern Dine:
Be careful when ordering the burgers or sandwiches, the waiter will ask you what side you want, only the side isn't free. We were charged extra for the regular fries and the seasoned fries (more expensive). I wouldn't have minded paying the additional cost because it was something I wanted, but I do mind feeling like the add-on was done deceitfully. I didn't see anywhere on the menu where it was posted. Came in with a group we got seated right away. The food was quick and very good.
Upon finding the door to the restaurant (located in the back near the parking lot), we entered hallway, unsure of where it would lead. The faint smell of old oil hung in the air, giving us pause. However, with no other options available and exhaustion from our day at the Diamond Field, we decided to give it a chance. To our delight, the food turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It arrived hot, fresh, and delicious—despite the initial oil odor. My husband ordered a chicken fried steak with fried okra and Cajun fries, while my son opted for a burger and Cajun fries. I went for the Philly cheesesteak with curly steak fries. Each dish was prepared just as we requested, and the portion sizes were decent. Although the prices were a tad steep, the satisfying meal was well worth it after a long day in the sun. Parking: Parking was at the back of the restaurant, which took us a minute to figure out. Not sure if the parking lot is shared with other establishments or not.
