We have many family members that live in town and we visit 5+ times a year. This is a perspective as a local and frequent diner. 1. Super convenient. Right in town. 2. Superior (pun intended) to Muldoons. 3. Super friendly service. 4. Has frozen to take home. 5. Very close to traditional homemade. Unfortunately, economy has taken its tool. Heavy on potatoes, light on other filling. Also getting smaller. Cost increase... View all feedback.
What Maranda R doesn't like about Miners Pasties And Icecream:
No restrooms, no inside seating, only two menu items available of 10 on menu. We had the Yooper, mainly onions and carrots minimal meat, what small amount there was ground beef. The pastry was dry. Skip UP pasties and eat them in the UK. View all feedback.
We were so impressed with our pasties that we returned the next morning for breakfast pasties! So yummy. Moist filling. Flaky pastry. This is definitely the place to come.
Looks like a Gem in the making. We were looking for ice ice cream. They had nice looking clothing for sale but I didnt see pricings. Ice cream was steep $4.50 Scoop. There was seating outside. Its close to docks. Greeted by nice gentleman. Location in back of big building just off main a-crossed from Eh Burgers.

These were the most delicious. They tasted like chateaubriand. And the ice cream. Buy a pint since you will want to eat the whole thing. Just a wonderful little place to grab some good food.
I had high hopes for this quick stop as we passed through Munising. The woman working made recommendations for her favorite pasty varieties so we got a Yooper pasty and a breakfast pasty. The crust on both were golden brown and looked delicious. We appreciated the opportunity to sit outside and dug in, but quickly discovered both pasties were extremely salty and the crusts that looked so beautiful were instead overly buttery and flaked off. While the overall taste was ok, the overwhelming salt and butter made it difficult to finish. I can't speak to the ice cream, but with so many other places to get a pasty, we will pass on Miner's next time we're through.
