Diners rave about the freshness of the grab-and-go salads and mouthwatering sandwiches, such as the Chicken Bacon Panini and a creative portobello mushroom dish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a casual lunch or a quick grab-and-go meal. Exceptional service complements the dining experience, with staff noted for their attentiveness and willingness to accommodate dietary needs. Overall, it's a must-visit spot for tasty fare that seamlessly pairs with the brewery’s offerings.
There were a few delicious choices on the menu, and the staff was extremely knowledgeable about vegan options.
They had many vegetarian sandwich options plus vegan cauliflower wings!
During our drive through Munising on the way to a kayaking tour, we stopped at ByGeorge for a quick drink. We were hoping to find something vegan, like a snack or fried option. To our pleasant surprise, we discovered a vegan chicken salad sandwich on the menu. Although they were out of it, the staff was accommodating and offered to make their portobello mushroom panini vegan by removing the cheese and aioli and adding sourdough and vegan mayo. The resulting sandwich was absolutely delicious!
The restaurant is part of an excellent craft brewery, however, you have to walk over to place your order. The menu is limited, but includes cauliflower wings (unfortunately they were sold out when I visited), as well as a beyond burger and veggie rice bowl that can be made vegan by omitting the cheese and sauce. Neither option was outstanding, but it was one of the few choices available in January.
There are limited options in this small town, but the choices of veg bowl, panini, and burgers are all delicious!
