Contribute Feedback What Mike Clarke likes about Kilian's Irish Pub:
Very nice staff including the security. Lots of places to go and grab a seat inside or outside, but this is a very popular place so availability is sporadic. We sat outside and ordered food and drinks. The four of us split the chef bast,...mix dip basket and chicken lovers basket. Plenty of food to share. Affordable, too. Not too expensive. While tipping is not common in Europe as much as the US, we generously tipped... View all feedback.
What Lilly Wegner doesn't like about Kilian's Irish Pub:
Ok, so maybe we're stupid. On our first night in Munich we were looking for a place to eat and saw Augustiner patio umbrellas and assumed this would be a German restaurant. Having spent a wonderful week in Ireland last summer I immediately picked up the Irish vibe from our waiter. We ordered Augustiners and got menus and then I realized the name of the place and that it was an Irish place. To be fair, the table was a... View all feedback.
We called in ahead of a trip to the Allianz arena. The place was bouncing, people having a great time in a relaxed atmosphere just off Marienplatz. Decent choice of beers with discounts for pitchers. Reasonable choice of bar food, burgers, pizzas etc.We enjoyed it so much we went back the following day.
Pretty much spent most of our time in here for our recent trip to the Audi Cup. Great little bar and reasonably priced. One nasty member of staff at chucking out time but then again it was hot and full of reds who didn't want to move!!Great food and good beer.Recommend a stop here or Ned Kelly's next door
Really rude Irish worker who really got me angry, to the point that I had to walk away because I was in return swearing at his idiotic remarks, flailing attempts of an obvious insincere apology due to asking for a manager and general negative persona. If he thinks that swearing as he walks away from a table isn't going to get people angry then think again. Even when I asked him and his female colleague to get the manager they both just looked at me seemingly vacant as if we were speaking separate languages with no comprehension. Unbelievably, all this was over having my sons pushchair against a chair whilst he was sleeping so that I could smoke away from him but still be parentally close enough. I assume that this annoyed him putting his freshly set up area out of symmetrical alignment; that's all I can presume anyway, or perhaps a long night out the previous had made him get out of the wrong side of bed. Either way he was extremely rude and I will never return as a result. Now don't get me wrong, it's an Irish bar, I never expected top notch food but as an Irish bar I'd expect a friendly welcome at the very least. I should point out I was the first to be customer of the day as it hadn't even opened for 20 mins so really foresaw any issue, and actually wouldn't if the place was bursting with custom. Let's just hope my reaction if even perhaps an overreaction will make him think twice about acting the way he did again and to whatever response if any the establishment gives I don't care for it. If you train your staff to be polite and considerate then you'd have had a completely different review. You get two stars as I have been there before for a night out a few years ago and it was an adequate experience then.
Found this place a few years ago after dinner and danced and sang to the Ballads of The Paul Daly Band! I haven't been back in some time and found a fantastic lunch menu today! My choice was Marinated Pork Steak with Twister Fries and Coleslaw. Fantastic and great value. Hoping to pop in tonight for music and more excitement!
We visited here a few times sat inside and outside and the service was good and drinks service excellent. Some of our party had food and some desserts all with no complaints too!! Good selection of beers, wines, spirits and bottles. Inside there is Killans Irish bar and within the downstairs complex an Aussie bar called Ned Kelly's. Again a good place and good banter with the bar staff! One complaint as we were a party of around 13/15 we had used altogether or in smaller sub groups we were promised a live band which didn't materialize and then to add insult to injury the youngest of our group as we are all 40ish honest was refused entry for no id, even though his dad was with him and we had been outside for hours spending a lot of money. Ok rules may be rules but attitude and rudeness not required from a pompous looking doorperson, shame though because the next two days we spent our money elsewhere. Overall we liked the place 7/10
