Very first thing you get is an authentic and heartwarming greeting when you walk in through the door, making you feel welcomed at this lovely Italian restaurant. Definitely worth taking the detour from the larger streets when around the university and the English Gardens.For lunch the restaurant had three differently priced two course menu options to choose from, and I as a fish-eater chose the one with fish. For starters a creamy soup was served and keeping it simple, the fish was perfect. The red mullet was nicely cooked and served with potatoes and ratatouille, portion large enough serve the appetite of a hungry traveller but yet small enough to leave room for the tiramisu which was delightful. The staff at the restaurant seemed all Italian, atmosphere had the genuine Mediterranean feeling without the clichés of these "Italian" chain restaurants and last but not least, I was addressed in English despite having visited the restaurant with a German friend. This is something to cherish in Munich and definitely results me visiting this place again if I return the city.

We only eat Italian and are very fussy so look for authentic and typical Italian restaurants. Casual friendly superb food. The owner was lovely welcoming and did everything possible to make our dinner special. An outside area - quiet and peaceful and inside area too - very near the American consulate. Took us 10 mins to walk from our hotel but felt we were out of the tourist area and was a great find. Highly recommend it for excellent Italian cuisine and fish. Casual but upmarket.
