Area Coffee - Mundelein

Delicious Peppermint Mocha Latte and super cute and sweet “Ugly Sweater” cookie. Service is prompt and polite. Bathroom is tiny but clean. Shop is currently filled with cute decorations and holiday music. Looking forward to coming again, especially to enjoy outdoor seating in Spring.

The best coffee shop around. Great coffee. They know how to make a proper flat white!! Employees are very helpful.

I wonder if anyone especially makes a point to visit this tiny hamlet of Mundelein downtown (why would someone) other than the natives here. For those who do, don't miss Area coffee. It's a quirky local coffee shop with numerous eccentric specialty coffee. We tried a couple a Salted Caramel and Honey Bee, both equally delicious. When I went in, the guy working helped me figure out what to get and gave me a few suggestions. It was my first time there. I got their cinnamon dolce latte with almond milk. Quite frankly it was DELICIOUS. He made it so well. Sadly I never asked for his name so I'm not sure who he was but, whatever your name is, that coffee was wonderful, so thank you for your help, and the delicious coffee:

Frank makes it his duty to meet and get to know every customer. He greets many people by name. The coffee quality is excellent. I drink mine black, so I don't have personal experience with the many different coffees on the menu. There are a large variety of Donuts, pastries and breakfast items available.
