We went there this time celebrating the meal of Noel among friends, we were 15 people. We were greeted as always very warmly, the restaurant decoration was very festive, as every time they have a lot of taste. All were very satisfied, some didn't know and I'm sure they'll come back. What Maurice Lemaitre doesn't like about Auberge de l'Etang:
The place is ok and the food is good. The attention was somehow stressful for us. Basically they told us that we cannot sit on the terrace if we do not order food. We were 8 people and 3 didn't want something for lunch and this was a problem for them. Friendly reception, attentive service, good Alsatian cuisine. as something special we felt the cheese selection for the cordon bleu. the drinks came quite fast; after the food order there was a longer waiting period. that can be a good sign for the fresh preparation. various wines, beers, juices, water. everything works very well maintained and pure. that also has its raised price.
