Wonderfully run local shops. It is a bit of a classic and one of the longest running pigs in the region. The bar part of this pub is always alive. The lounge area is set up for dinner. Great service and great homemade local food. Well worth the visit, lots of parking. View all feedback.
What yodaco doesn't like about Matty's Pub:
The staff at this restaurant is very friendly and the location is lovely. The apartments are also pretty nice. Considering the price, I would say there are worse options out there. However, there are some issues with health and safety. The fixtures are loose, the chairs are wobbly, and there are exposed wires. Despite these issues, I had a good time. Ok for sleeping, otherwise the location is not close for some sightseeing. It is more than a convenient place to stay
Neat accommodation just outside Bagenalstown. Room is spacious and comfortable, kitchenette is modern with a coffee machine. Bathroom was a wet room with no external windows but an extractor fan did the job. Parking directly across the road. Room was clean and comfortable. Only downside is a lack of toiletries aside from a foam dispenser in the shower, so bring your own if you need them. Overall was not expecting such nice accommodation when first seeing the building, would stay here again.
We had a meal at Marty’s Bar just up the road from Marty’s Pub we gave them little notice of a group of 12 needing to be fed great food great staff thank you

My family and I stayed in the ground floor apartment near the bar. Matt's kind and helpful welcome. Coffee machine with free pods, tea bags, kettle, fridge and everything you need for the kitchen. Recently renovated and clean apartment. Comfortable beds. Great kindness even in the evening when we stopped to drink a pint in his bar, pleasant atmosphere, frequented by locals.
