What Vito Smitham dislikes about Showroom:
eating: I see that the chef tries to be kreatiw by developing fusion ideas and incorporating interesting elements. but in general, eating is a bit salty, which undermines the fresh and the original taste of eating. service: the. View all feedback.
A cool evening, we were there with friends to celebrate a birthday, and left quite drunk. Why did I write " as in your dreams"? Because that was, many months later and after visiting many other Michelin star restaurants, my experience and for sure the experience of one or two other guests that ( we could observe that) came especially to Munich on this weekend to dine in this restaurant of the famous TV cook.Craftmanship was very good, I like the regional aspects - you are told were the greens ( for example) are coming from. The staff was dressed all in black and most of them with white gloves, very fancy. The restaurant is quite small and some of the tables are situated in positions were I would feel not quite so happy but we had a splendid one.And then "he" came - and you could see how everybody enjoyed this moment ( including me!) - really a charming guy, but much more down to earth then you would have thought, I liked that. Will for sure come back!4+ points.
Extraordinary eating. kreatiw and tasty, far beyond other Michelin-star restaurants I have visited before. must visit for a few
The chef plays great work with different tastes, textures and colors. all the dishes were very appealing, but as already mentioned a little salty. I'd rate that eating in itself. the service was disappointing. the personal.
A super friendly, warm, and down-to-earth team. You feel very well looked after and professionally cared for, without any artificiality. Keep it up! During our visit, the presentation of the food was nice, but unfortunately, the flavor combinations often didn 't harmonize well and seemed somewhat thrown together. The individual elements were solid, but with a few exceptions, nothing more than that. The kitchen team could improve the quality of the basic ingredients and add more finesse to the finishing touches. Since the menu changes regularly, it 's possible that the slight downgrade was just a fluke during our visit. We didn 't find the atmosphere commensurate with the price point. It felt more like the Italian restaurant around the corner. This is because the furniture is neither particularly high-quality nor aesthetically pleasing. Another issue is the poor soundproofing. It was so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation at a normal volume, even though the restaurant is quite small and therefore doesn 't hold that many people. The team did a good job of making up for some of the shortcomings, but overall there 's still room for improvement. I understand that the intended concept is casual fine dining and I appreciate the focus on seasonality and regionality, as well as the creative approach to flavor. Nevertheless, I would suggest: Replace the chairs and tables with something more attractive and of higher quality. Install sound-absorbing panels on the walls, under the tables, chairs, etc. Additionally, incorporate a few more special and high-quality elements into the interior design that create a positive first impression upon entering and underscore the desired experience. Presentation matters, not just the food. Develop a better overall concept for the meal and create more deliberate combinations (and, by the way, communicate the thought process behind each course more clearly). Replace the chairs and tables with something more attractive and higher quality. To develop and refine the basic ingredients in terms of taste to such an extent that with most of the courses (and not just 1-2) you think: Oh wow, that 's really good. Or Wow, unusual combination, but it harmonizes.
Food (4 5) The food was high-quality. Product quality, craftsmanship, and flavor combinations were of a high standard and represented the strongest part of the evening. Service (2 5) The service seemed too casual for the Michelin-starred level. The timing of the wine pairings was inconsistent, as some wines were served significantly before the corresponding course. Furthermore, the payment process deviated considerably from the norm: After confirming the bill twice, we were actively asked for a tip. This is not standard practice in top German restaurants and significantly detracted from the overall impression. Ambiance Interior (2 5) The interior is very simple. Functional and calm, but lacking in design depth. A stronger visual accent would better reflect the high standards of the cuisine. Overall Impression (3 5) Overall, an acceptable evening with good food, but shortcomings in the service and ambiance. A return visit is not currently on the cards.
