Great restaurant, good beer (4.90 €/0.5 liter dinkelacker) and typical German menu. the tiroler bratwurst is delicious (sweet with a wonderful sauce and potato puree 13 €). prices are medium high, but the service is very good and the restaurant is located in the city center. sometimes there is a waiting queue to get in, but it is possible to make a reservation. another curiosity is that drinking money is a habit, though not obligatory. I recommend!
They cannot leave the capital of bavària without tasting a good swanshaxe. the truth is that it is always full of tourist, but if I have to travel to a few, I try to visit Haxnbauer.Prost!
Great restaurant and famous for the thing that you can see before entering from outside, logically they do other things, but when you come here, you have to feel the real Bavarian society and not these bad Italian kopien.
I visited this place after seeing so many positive online reviews and had high expectations. We booked a table for two and arrived around 8:15 PM. We ordered pork knuckle, an apple dessert, and a beer. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The waiter serving our table was very rude in his approach and lacked basic courtesy. We were not even given plates to eat our food and had to ask another waitress for them ourselves, which was unacceptable. What made the experience even more disappointing was what happened during payment. After such poor service, the waiter asked us to pay a 10% tip and said it was “normal.” I have been living in Germany and understand that tipping is optional, not something customers should be pressured into paying—especially after receiving such poor service. The entire experience felt disrespectful and unprofessional. We visited based on the good reviews, but left feeling upset and disappointed. I would not recommend this place based on our experience.
