Roth's Wine Bar - Mudgee
Roth's Wine Bar
Description
Roth’s Wine Bar in Mudgee is a local favorite, offering a vibrant atmosphere with live music on weekends. While the decor and ambiance are top-notch, the food and service may leave something to be desired. Some customers found the pizza and salads to be lackluster, feeling like they were store-bought and reheated. Despite this, the wine selection is good, and events like trivia nights offer a fun experience. Overall, Roth’s Wine Bar is a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner, but may not be the best choice for those looking for exceptional food and service.

A nice atmosphere and the potential to be a great venue. I can't really rate the service as you have to order everything from the counter, which takes away the pleasure from having a dining experience, however, this is a bar rather than a restaurant. The food options for vegetarians are pretty slim (flavourless vegie pizza, arancini or spring rolls and, of course, salads). The place is beautiful, a bit expensive in relation with the quality of the food, from my point of view. But the most important thing, everything takes too much time to arrive to the table, even a simple Negroni. Vegetarian options: Chargrilled eggplant pizza. Positives: The atmosphere is great; it's a busy, buzzing place and worth a trip for a night out. Negatives: It's probably the worst pizza I've ever tasted. They clearly rushed them out of the kitchen and burned them as quickly as possible. By the time it arrived—after waiting 30 minutes—we were so hungry we just ate it, but towards the last two pieces, it was like eating a coal barbecue. Plus, they put huge cuts of parsley on a pizza? This comment is purely directed at the chef and kitchen staff, not the staff in general. I find it funny that their excuse was that it’s made in a wood-fired oven, which apparently means all pizzas have to be burnt to a crisp. They did ask if we wanted a new one, but at that point, we just wanted to leave. It’s great if you enjoy a hectic place where you have to serve yourself. I'd like to add that this is probably the first ever Google review I've ever done, that's how bad I think their pizza is. There are so many better places to eat in Mudgee! Don't let this be one of them. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
