La Catrina Tacos Tequila - Mt Vernon

Best tequila and tacos find in the entire state, hands down. This small gem exceeded expectations in service, for and price. Our server was very knowledgable and spent time explaining the different tequilas we inquired about, despite being busy. We spent most of our time tasting the recommended tequilas, but also tried a variety of tacos by the each $3-4 per depending on protein choice). Wish we had more of an appetite to try more menu items- guess we'll just have to come back! This place is kid-friendly and group-friendly. Not too sure about pet-friendly but there was a patron who came in with a cat. It seems when the weather is warm, the garage door opens to the outdoors with patio seating. There is an 8 seat bartop, as well as 2 large group booths in the back area. It was open seating when we visited, not sure if that's the norm, but it was pretty busy and loud which made it exactly where we wanted to be on a Saturday evening.

Amazing carne asada tacos! The bartender, Christian, is entertaining, charming and makes a great drink! Thank you to the wonderful cooks and extremely nice staff for a perfect evening

Soooo good! The perfect marg and fish taco were my favorite!! But carne asada and shrimp tacos were also very good! Filling was overflowing making it really worth the bang for your buck!! Great service as well!! Can’t wait to go back. My new favorite restaurant!

Ate lite because we were bar hopping. The flavor of the tacos ordered at our table were excellent. Great margaritas and Michelada and super friendly staff.

We really like this place. It is busy, noisy, hectic, and full of character. The servers are super friendly and the sauces are great. We've been for Taco Tuesday a couple of times and we really like those little tacos! Our only warning would be that they are small but at $1.50 each, their flavor and variety almost makes it worth it. You don't go here for a deal on tacos, you go for the cool atmosphere and taste. I eat 8 of the tacos $12) and a house margarita $10) for a great light dinner. They are expanding next door so we are hopeful that it will be a little mellower than it is now but our addiction to the tacos will bring us back for sure.
