Maegden - Moyle
Maegden
Description
Mini Maegden food truck in Northern Ireland offers incredible toasties and hot chocolate that exceeded expectations. The hot chocolate, toasties, and ice cream were all standout items. The owners are friendly and passionate about their food. The variety of cheese toasties is impressive. The seating is great for dining in, or you can take your food for a picnic nearby. While prices are on the higher side, it's worth a visit for the unique experience. The only downside is occasional long waiting times and parking issues. Overall, a must-visit spot for delicious food in a charming setting.

I visited two weeks in a row. both grilled cheeses were delicious and great to see various possibilities. the ingredients in the shop are incredible! they stand on: venison salami, the cheese and pasta! the owner was also a pleasure to speak and they can see the passion for what they do so knowledgeful. love it!
After a long walk on the way we fell for a great hot chocolate and these divine toasties. the blue cheese was phenomenal, brot crisp and a little chili on the side. a must visit place when they are on the coast.
We were impressed by the variety of toasted sandwiches at Maegden, which is apparently what they are known for. We will have to come back to try them in the future. Additionally, they have a well-stocked deli shop with a selection of local artisan foods, making it a unique option for those looking for high-quality products.
I know many people may complain about the price, but honestly, the quality of the ingredients speaks for itself. While you could easily find a cheese toastie for £4 in any coffee shop, this place offers so much more than just a basic toastie. My husband ordered the meat toastie, which was filled with nduja and chorizo, accompanied by spicy mayo and jalapeño pickle. The sourdough bread was thickly sliced and grilled to perfection. I opted for the blue cheese mix with salami and a side of kimchi. Although the cost was £16 for two toasted sandwiches, the flavors were outstanding and we left feeling completely satisfied. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit for lunch, but be sure to arrive early as there was a long queue forming as we were leaving.
