This small shop can only accommodate one customer at a time. You order from an outdoor screen and they give you an estimated pick-up time, which is usually faster than expected. The brown sugar tea costs $6-$6.50. The Boba balls are sweeter, softer, and smaller than others. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea:
Last night, my friend told me that the brown sugar Boba tea I got at Yi was a 1 or 2 out of 5, so I'll give it a 1 (compared to other Boba spots on Castro). She defended Yi by saying that it is known for its fertile tea. I couldn't find a regular pearl black milk tea, so I chose the next best option. I tried the brown sugar boba matcha latte with 25% sweetness and it was excellent. The matcha latte alone wouldn't have been sweet enough for my taste, but the boba added the perfect level of sweetness and chewiness to the drink. Ordering through their device was very convenient.
Very few places have the authentic taste of home, but this is one of them. the hot fruit tea was just as I remembered being in taiwan, and quality is one of the best among the many PMT shops around. a classic go-to recommendation is the brown sugar pearl Tea(Latte, if they don't want the caffeine.) I was again many, many, times and every time is as wonderful as the first. I am often enough here to order snackpass. lmk if they also regularly seek a replacement. pandemic note: they take covid seriously and have people with contactless methods to order (i.e., tablet) and employees take care of finished orders to prevent excessive customer contact that is a huge plus in my book.
The tea is good, but the primary reason for writing this review is my cup broke after I left the store and they kindly replaced it. They could have easily said it was not their fault and I should buy a new one..
