I really enjoy this place! I was a bit unsure when they mentioned that the strawberry matcha couldn't be adjusted for sweetness, but it turned out to be just right! I typically go for 50% sweetness at boba spots, but I found their regular sweetness level for this drink to be quite good.
I visited the restaurant in the middle of the day, only to find the manager or owner holding a meeting with employees in the customer area. While I understand that meetings are necessary, I believe they should be conducted outside of store hours rather than in a space where customers are present. The employees appeared uncomfortable, and the woman leading the meeting was making comments that didn’t seem coherent. This overall atmosphere really impacted my drink experience, and I felt sorry for the employees who had to endure it. It’s unprofessional to hold a meeting in a common area during operating hours, and as a courtesy to your customers, I would suggest finding a more appropriate location for these discussions.
The service here is consistently outstanding. Whether I place a pick-up order or dine in, the staff is always warm and inviting. I highly recommend trying the custom-made lemonade with honey boba, along with hints of mango and passion fruit! This cozy little shop is situated at the beginning of Castro Street, surrounded by plenty of nearby food options.
The Assam milk tea boba had a strong tea flavor and sweetness level was low (a good thing). One issue is that the boba had a hard center like it was under cooked. It could be a one time thing. An annoying aspect here is that there ordering kiosk is really outdated and difficult to use, for example, no contactless payment or Apple Pay, and the ordering flow is awkward as you have to go through multiple screens for each drink.
