Was Foram Mistry at Hon Sushi a mag?
As we are vegetarian- they offered to make a vegetarian sushi version from their caterpillar rolls. I must say this was my first time trying sushi and I loved it! I will be coming back to satisfy my craving soon. View all feedback.
What Michael Radigan dislikes about Hon Sushi:
That was rough. Table and chairs were dirty. Hostess just wiped off the seat with her hand when she seated me. Brought out a roll I didn’t order and a spicy tuna roll that was so salty and fishy I couldn’t eat it. Rainbow rolls…I don’t know how to explain it better than nothing tasted remotely fresh. I am genuinely worried I will get sick. I asked for the bill and got overcharged for the sake until I pointed it out o... View all feedback.
Delicious food and absolutely amazing service! I had called in to order sushi for our office GrubHub didn't have ordering set until 1pm but they were able to get the food ready by 11:30am for an early delivery. The kind woman on the phone was so sweet and sounded like an obachan I would speak to when I lived in Japan. The gentleman was helpful was well. I have never been to the restaurant but I imagined it cozy and homey as well. The special tray was put in a beautiful circular platter. All the rolls loomed delicious and we go great feedback from the employees. They were also very generous with the ginger and wasabi. I always get a miso soup with my sushi and I had two of the soups here. It was a bit saltier than I am usually used to though. The salad was also a great hit; Everyone loved the dressing. i would definitely order from here again! arigato!
Hon Sushi is a solid place due to their huge rolls, which make the price worth it. The roll pieces are larger than normal, and the fish was fresh and toppings like avocado and fish on the outside were a nice touch. However, they are pretty creative with their rolls and sometimes I wish they had more traditional rolls without all the toppings. I really appreciate the business. The owners are always happy to see you, and they appear to be an older couple that has operated the business for a long time. My tips to the business are to have options for simpler and cheaper rolls and redo the menu to make it more navigable for new customers. Also, it would be nice to have a smaller takeout menu to have at home. Overall, the quantity you get makes the price you pay worth it. Everything was delicious, but I think the rolls were a tad too saucy and stray away from the more traditional styles that are plainer and have fewer toppings. Can't wait for the next time I try them out.
The rice is stale and tough, and the crab meat is of poor quality and overly fishy. Overall, the ingredients used are of low quality, making the dish inedible. The only redeeming factor is the fresh avocado in the rolls, which are large and also have a strong fishy taste.
I ordered takeout from this restaurant last night and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the 101 roll and the pieces of albacore on top were huge! They were delicious and very filling. I will definitely be coming back!
A mom and pop place run by an older couple where the wife serves, cleans and handles all the customer facing duties. Ordered the bento box, chicken teriyaki with the $7.95 shrimp tempura add-on. The chicken was an underwhelming mess to say the least, undercooked, not in the sense of being raw but compared to the standard grilled teriyaki style, slathered with some thin overly sweet sauce which doesn 't taste like it. Shrimp tempura was more flour than shrimp, I 'm guessing ... packaged supermarket fare, with a small thimble of dipping sauce which was nowhere close to being the tempura sauce I 'm familiar with. Dropped a star due to our server going from wiping the floor with a been everywhere mop, picking up food droppings to handling the dinnerware and utensils plus doing some yard work as well. I left the salad untouched. Also note Restrooms for employees only . The Micro-soft roll was tasty though. Hence the 2 star, otherwise it 's a solid 1 star.
