Alberdeen Inn - Mountain Top

We have never eaten here before. It is a beautiful older building, and appear to be relatively clean. We were quickly greeted and seated. Through our dining experience, it appeared as though the man who seated us also waited on us, and also was the bartender. I don't know if he was also the cook. We began to think that he was a one man show doing it all. We could be wrong, though. My wife and I both had the three mini crab cakes which were well prepared and had a little bit of spice to them. The complimentary bread was very good as well. My wife had the broiled stuffed haddock with a side of sauteed zucchini and squash which she said was well prepared but had an average taste. I had the New York strip steak, medium with mashed potatoes and the sauteed zucchini and squash. The saute zucchini and squash was well prepared and beautifully flavored. My steak was well prepared, but was just average in flavor as it did not appear to be seasoned. Both dinners came with a side salad with garden greens. It was a very good salad. Because it appeared that there was only one person doing most of the work, if not all, the service was a little slow. I think it was a little pricey before what we got and for the amount of food that we had received. Excellent food and great service. I had the aged NY strip, my wife has the chicken parm, and my daughter had delicious homemade chicken fingers with homemade BBQ sauce and homemade ketchup. Good work gentlemen!

Alberdeen Inn is fantastic if you're seeking a wonderful meal in a serene, romantic setting. The service was impeccable, and the food was top-notch. This is not a fast food place; they offer exceptional dishes. I ordered the steak, and it was definitely worth the wait, cooked to perfection just as I requested. I highly recommend this restaurant!

This place is consistently wonderful! We had our wedding dinner here back in 1991, and I've loved it ever since.
