My burrito... read more What a cool Mexican restaurant! The decor is a feast for the eyes. With themed chair backs and pictures and murals on the wall. The service was fast. My burrito California was beautiful coming to the table and absolutely delicious! If you live or visiting mountain home you have to come try it.

I'm not sure how this place has the reviews that it does, because based on my experience it's extremely misleading. I'm from California home of the best Mexican food in the United States, in my opinion, And I'm sorry, the food here was gross. I didn't even eat it, I ate 1/2 of one enchilada, there were 3 on the plate. I ate a couple of bites of the rellano and I was done, couldn't gag it down. The cheese inside of the enchiladas AND the Chile rellano was like liquified cheese whiz or melted American cheese slices, I've never tasted or seen anything like it in Mexican food before in my life and I'm old, it should be a crime to label this as Mexican food. They need to find an authentic Mexican chef because this was awful. The inside of the restaurant was done up cute, so I had high hopes. The chips and salsa was good, that's about it. I ordered 3 cheese enchiladas and they came with chicken, I also ordered Ala carte Chile rellano...I asked for the chicken that came with enchiladas to please be on the side instead of on the main plate. The plate came and a big glob of shredded chicken onions and bell peppers in red sauce which were prominently slapped on top of my enchiladas, exactly where I asked them not to be. The waiter didn't even know the menu, I asked him a question and he took my menu and shrugged his shoulders and said hmm I guess we don't have that... Then I found the item myself, so they did have it. Did he just start working there?? He was nice regardless, I left him a nice tip because he did hook us up on chips and salsa .

That food is deserving of more than the 1 star I'm leaving. The big problem was the complimentary chips were stale. As I paid I told the cashier about it, as they seemed to be the one in charge, and they seemed unconcerned. No apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. As a patron who complimented the kitchen and gave you feedback on stale chips, it's in your best interest to at least commit to looking into it. For the lack of concern, it will be considerable time before we return, if ever and I'm leaving 1 star I can also upgrade later if we return and things are noticeably improved. Problems need corrections, the sooner the better will serve your business well.

I too... read more Can’t believe anyone would give more than two stars. I wish I could give no stars. My dinner enchiladas came stone cold it had avocados on top nice touch. I took one bite and sent it back. Got the same plate back with the bite gone. after a microwave blast including my avocado. So hot you could hurt yourself. Save some money get a tv dinner you’ll have the same results. Never going back count on it.
