My partner and I spontaneously decided to revisit my childhood haunts, and we're really glad we chose this place for dinner! We each enjoyed two fantastic sandwiches: the prime rib sandwich and the blue cheese burger. We tried a bite of each other's meals, and both were outstanding—absolutely loved them! I also had a cup of soup that was bursting with flavor. The service was exceptional as well. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!
The staff was quite busy but remained cheerful, and the food looked absolutely delicious.
We showed up around 9 PM, even though the sign said they closed at 11 PM. When we entered through the unlocked door, we were told they had actually closed two hours earlier, which explained why all the lights were off. The staff at the door was rather rude about it. On a positive note, the bartender was very friendly and offered us some pretzels, but we decided to leave right away. The outdoor patio looked quite inviting, though!
The **** Mary is fantastic, with just the right amount of spice—never overwhelming. I also loved the homemade pickled asparagus and that rye bread... pure bliss in every bite! The food is flavorful and generously portioned!
