Tjs Deli Cafe - Mount Vernon

This local neighborhood store has extended hours and is one of the few places in the area that stays open late. It's a family-owned business, which is always nice to see. However, calling it a "deli" is a bit of a stretch since they don't focus much on food offerings. They do have the occasional hot food item and sandwiches, but the service can be slow, and they don't seem too concerned about keeping you waiting. This is the main area where they could improve. On the plus side, they offer a wide variety of groceries, and you'll find a lot of lottery tickets and cigarettes being sold here. The owner, Alex, is a friendly and amusing guy, which adds to the charm of the place.

TJ's offers incredible homemade food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Each meal is fantastic, and the friendly staff makes you feel like a welcome old friend. The menu changes daily, ensuring that everything is always delicious. Plus, they serve a fantastic burger!

This is an excellent neighborhood spot that has many regulars, including my family, who have been coming here for the past 10 years. They serve the best pancakes and offer fantastic hot lunch options. It's conveniently located right by the 55 bus stop and Fleetwood Metro Station.
